“This collection of twelve drawings was inspired by photographs and articles that were published in the Crime sections of Mexico City newspapers (1993). I felt the sensational nature of the text and the photos of ‘delinquents’, with their strange hairstyles and unique facial expressions, offered intriguing visual and graphic possibilities. The works are created on amate bark paper which is made by the Otomi, an indigenous group living outside of Mexico City” – Raúl Guerrero
