What you see… is often not everything they do. Artists who create artwork for public art commissions often create very different work in their studios. Since 1985, more than 30 regional artiss have been commissioned to make works for the city’s Art in Public Places Program. This show offers the opportunity to see the studio work of some of these same artsits, including TJ Dixon and James Nelson, Kim Emerson, Raul Guerrero, Paul Hobson, James Hubbell, Ron Juncal, Christopher Lee, DeLoss McGraw, Anna O’Cain and Richard Keely, Aber de Matteis, Philipp Scholz Rittermann, Michael Stutz, Phyllis Swanson, Sylvia Tidwell and Jim Wilsterman.

This hands-on art-making event is designed for all ages! First, tour the current exhibition. Then, you’ll create a specially-designed art project related to the exhibition that you get to take home. Materials and workspace provided. No reservations required and stay as long as you’d like!
